Alphonsus Kavanagh Jr.

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we say goodbye to a loving husband, Dad, Pop, Great Pop, brother and brother in law. Alphonsus Jr Kavanagh Age 81 (March 14,1940). Predeceased by his parents Alphonsus and Elizabeth Kavanagh, brother Leo, sister Evelyn, brother in law Martin and son in law Thomas. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend Shirley of 57 years, Son Clyde, Daughters Dinah and Shawlene (Parminder). Grandchildren Lee (Nicole), Paul, Angela, Darcy, Laura and Dawson. Great Grandkids Lily and Alexander who he loved and adored. His beloved sisters Dolly and family, Sadie (Ron) and family, Bill (Doris) and family, Bernard and family and all the Gregory family.

Special thanks to public health nurse Michelle who was dedicated to his care. Dr. Peter Morry and the cardiology staff at Health Science Centre. Special thanks also to a good friend John Paul for helping out.

Visitation will be held at Ryan’s funeral home, Bay Bulls on Saturday April 17th, 2021 from 10:00am- 2:00pm. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, funeral service and burial will be limited to family only. Burial will take place at Holy Trinity RC Cemetery, Ferryland.
