It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ann of Bay Bulls, who passed peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Marjorie (nee O’Driscoll) and Joseph O’Brien, as well as her partner Patrick Keating.
Ann leaves behind a large circle of family and friends who are still surrounded by her love and left with a lifetime of wonderful memories. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Marcheta (Shane), Paul, Margie (Carl), Loyola (Tish) and Joseph (Jill), many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored and treated as her own, a large extended family, including many aunts, uncles and cousins to whom she was very close and a large circle of friends, with many friendships lasting a lifetime, most notably Bernice Nagle, a friend for life.
Ann was full of life and genuinely adored by all who were lucky enough to know her. She was a successful, hard-working entrepreneur, a lover of entertaining, cooking and traveling. She was the greatest supporter of her friends and family, our “rock and glue.” We are eternally grateful for the seven decades we had the opportunity to spend with her.
We are so thankful for the compassionate care received from the nurses, physicians and staff at the Palliative Care unit at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ann’s life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, given Ann’s generous spirit and ability to make everyone smile, the family suggests that you do something kind to make someone smile and/or donate to a charity of your choice.
