Anne Puddister Obituary
It is with great sadness that we have to say good-bye to our loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Anne Veronica Puddister (nee Kavanagh) of Bay Bulls— the last surviving child of Billy and Maggie Kavanagh of Calvert, Southern Shore.
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in the company of her family on April 23, 2022 in her 94th year. Anne is predeceased by her husband Thomas Patrick, son Bud and infant children, also her 15 siblings. Leaving to mourn her son Robert and Grand daughter Brenda with whom she resided, children Jenny Luby (Tommy), Eileen (Leo St. Croix), Walter (Debbie), Dave (Debbie), Gerard (Beverly Corrigan), Ann Marie, Stephen, Evelyn Chidley (Jim), Karen ( Wayne Parrell), Brian (Sandra Walsh). Left with beautiful memories of nan are her 13 Grandchildren, and 15 Great Grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews of the extended Puddister and Kavanagh families. Also close friends Till Williams, Janie Dunphy, Mary Puddister, Denise Joyce and Paul Kean.
Mom had a long and full life with many bumps and bruises mixed with lots of joys and celebrations of family, community and friends. She loved taking care of family and do things for those in need in the community. Her sense of humour, take on life and wicked wit made her funny to be around. She dearly loved a good night out to a dance and “Grand Time” in her nearly 94 years. In the kitchen she made us all happy with her home made bread and cooking…she made the best Sunday dinner with pork roast and gravy ever! We love you mom and nan! You will be in our hearts forever.
Resting at Ryans Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Monday April 25, 2022 from 2pm to 9 pm. Mass of Christian burial at Sts. Peter and Paul church, Bay Bulls, Tuesday April 26, 2022 at 10 am. Cremation to follow, Inurnment at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association-Newfoundland Chapter @ cmhanl.ca
