Passed peacefully away, surrounded by love, Brendan Joseph Power of Tors Cove. Predeceased by his parents John and Frances Power and his brother, Neil Power.
Leaving to mourn his wife, Catherine (Kay), her four daughters and their families; his grandson, Wayne Colbert; great granddaughter, Edie and step-great grandchildren; Harrison, Harley, Allen and Pierce. His brothers, John Power (Marg) and Andre Power (Lorraine deceased); his sisters, Winn Kennedy (John) and Annie Power; sister-in-laws, Maureen McGrath (Samuel) and Brenda Colford (Edward); many special nieces and nephews especially Tommy, Andrea and Tina; and his very good friends, Bobby and Perry O’Keefe.
The family would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who called, visited and to the Palliative Care team; as well as; Dr. C. McManamon for the exceptional care and compassion given to Bren.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2pm-8pm. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 10am at The Chapel (Cemetery) in Tors Cove. Inurnment to follow at Tors Cove Cemetery.
Brendan was a Santa’s helper for many years and loved seeing the smiles on children’s faces; in lieu of flowers, donations in Bren’s memory would be greatly appreciated to Special Olympics or to The Shriner’s NL Chapter.
