Catherine Ronayne Obituary
On the first sunny morning in three weeks mom went to join dad for his birthday on June 14, 2023. Together again.
Predeceased by her loving husband Harold (Sr.), her parents Stephen and Ethel Carter, her four sisters and great granddaughter Sophia. Mom was also the oldest resident of Witless Bay. Leaving to mourn eight children: Harold (Eleanor), Cathy (Alfred), Marlene (Chris), Karen (Glen), Maria (Bert deceased), Paul (Phyllis), Stephen (Wanda), Deanne (Rick). Sixteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, especially Samantha. One brother Stephen (Dolly) and numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Kay Smith.
The family wishes to send a thank you to the staff of Bishops Gardens where mom was a resident for two years especially Dr. Mehta. A special thank you to Dr. Rod McCarthy for his many years of care for mom. Thank you to her faithful visitors Junior and Brenie O'Brien and Fr. Wayne Dohey.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 16th, 2023 from 2:00 - 9:00pm. Funeral Mass to take place from St. Patrick's RC Church, Witless Bay, on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at 11:00am. Inurnment to follow at Holy Cross RC Cemetery, Witless Bay.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to a charity of your choice.
