On Thursday April 9th, 2015, a dedicated husband, father, poppy and friend, Chris Molloy of St. Shott''s, slipped gently away into the arms of his loving mom, Martha and his dear dad Thomas. He is also reunited with his siblings; Josephine, Monica, Mary, John, Anthony and Martin and his treasured loved ones, son-in-law Phillip and grandson Dale. Mourning her loss of a devoted husband is his wife of 67 years, Mary. Chris and Mary raised the largest family in St. Shott''s.
He dearly loved every member of his fabulous family and they are ever grateful for his long life of 90 plus years. Darling daughters (his Suz''s); Marie (Don), Sharon (Harold), Brenda (Kevin), Debbie (Donnie), Cora (Pete), Verna (Fergie), Juanita (Clem), Lisa. Special sons: Ed, Christopher (Bobbie), Derwin (Karen), Colin (Lorraine), Glen (Trina). Poppy loved and cherished all his children. Grandchildren: Rhonda (Carl), Rowena (Craig), Dion (Dora), Phillip (Nancy), Sharlene (Rob), Jamie, Kristen (Danny), Jeremy (Teigan), Kevin (Rita), Kayla (Duane), Krystle (Sean), Keegan, Kathryn, Monica, Janet, Charles, Corey, Lorie, Lydia, Emma, Sarah, Zachary, Matthew, Sophia, Olivia, Brent, Nicholas, Owen (their dad Eugene), Darcy, Karissa, Chelsea, Anthony, Brody, Brianna and Connor. Great grandchildren, Maria, Jack, Amanda, Dawson, Chloe, Rachel, Charlotte, Luke, Victoria, Natasha, Mackenzie, Natalie, Jamie, Cameron, Cooper, Keava, Samantha and Sophie. Special thanks to their granddaughter Mara for her special care to Pop over the past seven weeks. Also leaving to mourn is his loving sister, Rose. Dear friend and neighbour, Walter, and his wife Maureen. And his many extended family members and friends.
Chris thoroughly enjoyed music, dancing, fun, laughter and good times-all the while sipping his hot toddies, dressed in his Sunday best. He enjoyed living off the land with his horse, sheep, cows and chickens. He loved to make hay, go hunting and fishing and drive the ATV. He was very famous for his witty phrases. Chris was a loving, gentle, irreplaceable man who touched the hearts of so many. The love he shared with his wife Mary and family will be forever remembered. He leaves a great legacy behind. We will welcome him home at 2:00pm on Saturday. Resting at Our Lady of Fatima Funeral Home, St. Shott''s on Saturday April 11th, family visitation 2:30-4:30pm, general public 7:00-10:00pm. Sunday April 12th, 10:00am-10:00pm (with vigil at 7:00pm). Monday April 13th, 10:00-12:00pm. Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church on Monday April 13th at 2:00pm, Internment to follow at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Cemetery and reception in community hall. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Shott''s cemetery fund. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Ryan''s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls.
