Resting at Ryan''s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Tuesday, November 17th and Wednesday November 18th from 2-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from St. Patrick''s R.C. Church, Witless Bay on thursday November 19th at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross R.C. Cemetery, Witless Bay. It is great sadness that we announce the passing of Edmond Sylvester Houlihan of Witless Bay (formerly of Merasheen Island, Placentia Bay) at the Palliative Care Unit, LAMC, aged 81 years. Predeceased by his wife Joan (nee Carey), parents Thomas and Cicily Houlihan, brothers-in-law Jack Carey and Lambert Conners, and sister-in-law Theresa Houlihan. Left with fond and loving memories, seven children; Sean (Maxine), Colleen (Neil), Keith (Daphne), Kelly, Edwina (Lindsay), Don, Dean (Rosemary). Twelve grandchildren; Renee (Grant), Sarah (Michael), Matthew (Deanne), Mark (Courtney), Megan (Robin), Emily, Molly, Maggie, Scout, Kathleen, Brendan, Ronan and six great-grandchildren; Rory, Regan, Riley, Liam, Anna, and Patrick. Brothers James (Kay), Gerald, Bill (Betty) and sisters Mary Conners, Kathleen Pitcher (Angus), and Monica Houlihan. Sisters-in-law Marie Halleran and Margie Power, Special Care Giver Holly Fleet. Special friends, David Carey, Gerard Murphy and Paul Carter. Along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
