Elizabeth "Betty" Frizzell (nee) Whitty)

Embraced in the loving presence of her family and her faith in God, Betty passed peacefully into eternity on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the Health Sciences Center, following a brief but unflinching battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Mike and Mary Whitty; foster parents, Joseph and Bridget Tee; parents-in-law, Frank and Victoria Frizzell; brother, Michael Whitty; brothers-in-law, Kevin Frizzell and Randell Gosse. Loving and missing her as long a life endures are her devoted husband, Willie, of 45 years; treasured children, Corey (Mandy Harrigan), Tanya Martin (Jamie), Amanda Martin (Sheldon); cherished grandchildren Ryan, Reagan, Victoria and Lauren; siblings, Marie Whitty (Martin), Alison Melvin (Martin) and John T. Tee (Loretta); brothers-in-law Martin (Marie), Francis (Brenda), Arthur (Martha); sisters-in-law Mary Whitty, Mary Gosse, Ruth Frizzell, Josephine O’Driscoll (Allan), Kay Frizzell (Francis), Carmel Boland (Clarence), Blanche Cole (Pius) and Dianne Doyle (Joe); good friends, Linda Carey, for endless hours spent at the hospital, Maureen Jacobs and Sophie Connolly, as well as nieces, nephews and close friends. Special thanks to the staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, Drs. Siddiqui, Holmes and Angel, as well as staff of 4NA, HSC. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday, September 29th and Sunday, September 30th, from 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at St. Michael’s R. C. Church, St. Michael’s on Monday, October 1st at 10 am. Inurnment to follow at St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Michael’s Church Restoration Fund.
