Ellen O'Brien Obituary
It’s with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, mother in law and grandmother, Ellen ( Nellie) O’Brien age 86 of Calvert on Friday December 9,2022.
Predeceased by her husband Michael, son’s Gerard (infant) Kenneth and Denis; her parents Clem and Bridget Battcock, her brothers Mike, Leonard, James and Tom and sisters Lucy, Annie, Hannah and Fidelis
Leaving to mourn and forever in our hearts her children Derek (Beverly), Wayne (Roxanne) Brian, Michael (Charlene), Darryl (Julie), grandchildren Christopher, Kayla, Dexter, Kelsey, Jake, Felicity, Charlie, Sam, great grandchildren Kenneth, Norah, Ennis and James. Also leaving to mourn many nieces and nephews from the Battcock and O’Brien families.
Thank you to the nursing staff at Glenbrook Lodge 2B, your care and compassion over the last few months did not go unnoticed. Thank you to her visitors to the home over the last few months, she loved having your company. Thank you to Michelle Rossiter for her care over the years and the workers from Quality Home Care, Charlene and Uriel for your care and allowing mom to stay home as long as she could.
Visitation will be held Monday December 12th from 2:00pm – 9:00pm at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday December 13th at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Calvert at 11:00am. Inurnment to follow at Holy Trinity RC Cemetery, Ferryland.
