It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved partner, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend Ellen (Nellie) Marie Vickers born September 19, 1949, and left this world Monday, April 6th, 2015 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by family. She had a ten month courageous fight with cancer and fought to the end until God called his Angel home. Pre-deceased by her son Jamie Francis Vickers, mom Marie, dad Peter, sisters Mary Francis, Rita and Patricia, brothers Fred, John, Ron and Len. Leaving to mourn her partner of 37 years, Gordie who stood by her side till the end, daughter Tracey, who never left her side from day one, son Rodney and daughter Arlene. Eight grandchildren, Shane, Natasha, Alyssa, Hailey, Devon, Jayden, Blake, and her precious little J''Lyn. Brother Martin (Rosie), sisters, Clare Howlett, Gert White, Gen Howlett as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her niece Jenny and sister's-in-law Jeanette and Marie who spent many days helping to keep her comfortable Resting at Ryan''s Funeral Home, Wednesday April 8th, from 4pm - 9pm and Thursday April 9th, from 2pm - 9pm . Mass of Christian burial to take place from St. Patrick''s R.C. Church, Witless Bay on Friday, April 10th at 10:00 am. Cremation to follow. Flowers are kindly accepted or donations may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation in her honor.
