Resting at Fahey''s Funeral Home, Fermeuse, Thursday, July 30th from 2-6 pm & at Ryan''s Funeral Home,Bay Bulls on Friday, July 31st from 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle on Saturday, August 1st at 10:00 am. Cremation to follow.
Passed peacefully away July 26, 2015, in her 97th year. Leaving to mourn her children - William (Bill) Day (Judi), Thelma Drake (Ted, Harry (Pat) Day (Lorraine), Doris Gushue (Kirian), grandchildren- Lynn Sorey (Kevin), Adam, Jim (Shari), Marie, Rob Day, Mark Sawyers (Stacey), Mary Morgan (Shannon), Marlene Green (Anthony), Crystal Hendry (Scott), Emily Gushue-Whalen (Andrew) & Tom Gushue, 12 great grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild. Also leaving to mourn her only surviving sibling, Rita O''Brien, Fermeuse, (formerly of St. John''s), as well as many nieces, nephews, great & great-great nieces and nephews, and the owners, staff, residents & visitors to Fahey''s P.C. home, which has been her home for 11 years. Pre-deceased by her daughter Elizabeth (Betty) Day, her parents, William & Bridget (Bride) O''Brien (Finlay), siblings Phonse (Morag), John (Elsie),her twin Charlie (Angela), Bernard (Annie/Madge), Mary Edney (Bill), Lucy Garant (Emile), Sr. Magdalen, Ellen, Theresa & Josephine O''Brien.
