It is with great sadness that we, the family of Francis "Art" Hefferman, announce his passing at the age of 70 years. Art passed away peacefully at Glenbrook Lodge on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
He was predeceased by his son Sean, parents: Francis J. and Edna E. (nee Burge), sister Barbara and niece Lesa.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons; Steven (Jordan) and Scott (Kaylea), their mother, Lorraine, grandchildren: Sydney, Ella and Taylor, sisters: Peggy, Betty (John), Janice (Gerard) and Theresa (Steve), brother Ray (Sherry), special Aunt Vera, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Art was a man who loved skidooing, fishing, biking — really anything outdoors, he was always game for. He took great pride in working on heavy equipment for most of his life. Six years ago, Art suffered a stroke which changed his life forever. He spent his final years at Glenbrook Lodge, where he was treated like family. We would like to thank all the staff at Glenbrook for the care and support they gave Art. We truly had no worries during his time there. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 2:00 pm – 8:00. A celebration of Art’s Life will take place later in the summer.
