Fred passed peacefully at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in the early morning of December 3, 2025.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Marion Ingerman, his beautiful wife Bridie (nee Martin), and his treasured daughter Beverly Erickson (Bob), as well as his twin brother, Robert (at birth), and sister Judith.
Many wonderful memories are shared by those most precious in Fred's life: his daughters; Sharon Tucker (Mike) and Cathy Walsh, grandchildren: Yvonne (Derek), Dan, Brad (Kayleigh), Mitchell and Steven, great-grandchildren: Thomas, Brooklynn, Lucy and Brady, siblings Patricia Singleterry (John Schwartz), Linda Hall (Richard), Elizabeth Hawco (Vince), Bobbi Drimmie (Terry) and most special brother Douglas (aka Buck) and his dearly-loved partner in the twilight of their lives, Mildred Melvin-Bruff, and her children Philip and Lisa and their families.
Fred will be missed by a large circle of nieces and nephews and their families; numerous cousins and their families, as well as friends and neighbours in Paradise, Labrador City, LaManche Road and the residents and staff at Alderwood Estates in Witless Bay. He was a former co-worker at Wabush Mines and at Day & Ross. Many thanks to the staff at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, who treated Fred with great kindness and respect.
At Fred's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or formal funeral services.
