Frederick Williams Obituary
With heavy hearts and wonderful memories, the family of Frederick Joseph Williams, 77, announce his passing on April 19th, 2023 at his home in Bay Bulls surrounded by family.
Born on June 27th, 1945, Fred was the son of the late Harry and Joan Williams.
Fred married his beautiful wife Rita on November 19th, 1966, witnessed by plenty of friends and family and just celebrated his 56th wedding anniversary.
Fred is survived in death by his beautiful wife Rita and children Carol (John), Jim (LeeAnne), and Anita (Chris) as well as his beautiful girl Gypsy. He has also left behind his beautiful grandchildren of whom he thought so highly of, Devin and Ethan Williams, Katie and Emily McTigrit and step grandchildren Meighen and Caitlin Green. Also left to mourn are his siblings Wayne (Sheila), Harry (Bernadette) and Joan (Edgar). Fred was preceded in death by stepmother Gertie and siblings, Alec, Randall, Ed, Gordon, Katherine, Kenneth, Ernest and John (in infancy). Also, mother-in-law Catherine Glynn and brother in laws Patrick, William and Don Glynn. Left behind are sisters-in-law Bertha, Bonnie, Diane, Bernice, Betty, Marg and Mary and brother-in-law France and their families.
Fred’s family and friends (of which he had plenty) will miss him dearly and know that life will not be the same without him but are incredibly grateful to have had so many years with him. With tremendous love and a heartfelt thank you to LeeAnne (aka LillyAnne), Dad’s third daughter, for her gentle care, movie nights, upbeat attitude, the sounds of robust laughter and giggles between them and lastly the support she showed to mom and all the family.
His family would like to give a special thank you to all the medical team including the Palliative Care Team, Community Health staff, but most especially Dr. Rod for all of the care and support he showed to us during this difficult time. Additionally, we would like to thank all the friends and family who stopped by to visit, dropped off meals for the family and brought joy into our home during a difficult time. It was obvious how much Fred was loved and thought about.
Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home on April 24th and 25th from 2PM to 9PM, with mass to follow on April 26th 10 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul RC Church in Bay Bulls and graveside service at Mount Loretta Roman Catholic Cemetery in Bay Bulls.
