Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Wednesday, January 13th from 1-9 and Thursday January 14 from 1-9. Mass of Christian burial from St. Patrick's RC Church, Witless Bay on Friday, January 15th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross RC Cemetery, Witless Bay.
Surrounded by his loving family Harold Ronayne Sr. (formerly of Tors Cove) passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the age of 91 years. A 45-year employee of Newfoundland Power. Member of the Knights Of Columbus Dean Patrick Cleary Council #6672, Witless Bay and 4th Degree member of Msg. Rawlins Assembly, St. John's. Predeceased by his parents John and Katherine (Kitty) Ronayne and two infant brothers. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 65 years Catherine (nee Carter). His three sons Harold Jr. (Eleanor), Paul (Phyllis) and Stephen (Wanda). His five girls Cathy Condon (Alfred), Marlene Walsh (Chris), Karen Bond (Aubrey-Deceased), Maria Ronayne (Bert Meadus) and Deanne Dunphy (Rick). 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren whom he adored. Also leaving to mourn his dedicated home care worker Helen Carey and staff of St. Patrick's Mercy Home especially 3 South and the Recreation Department. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted man by many extended family members and friends. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory can be made to the St. Patrick's Mercy Home Music Program or St. Patrick's RC Church Restoration Fund, Witless Bay.
