Jacqueline Marie Constantine

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Marie Constantine (nee Walsh) on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 63.

Jackie was predeceased by her beloved parents, Walter and Margret (nee Dalton) Walsh, and her brother, John Barry.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randy; daughters Laurie, Deborah (Jeff), and Rebecca; and granddaughter Jessica. She also leaves behind her siblings: Josephine (Wayne), Dianne (Stan), Steve (Wynnann), Flis (Rick), Gerry, Margie (Randy), Wally (Rose), Mikey (Jackie), Isabelle (Jimmy), Craig (Wendy), and Andy (Christina).

Jackie grew up in St. John’s, where she raised 3 daughters. She spent the last decade of her life in Witless Bay. She loved a good joke and always game for a good laugh. In her later years, Jackie cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She found immense joy in being a devoted grandmother to Jessica, and watching her granddaughter grow filled her with happiness.

In the weeks leading up to her passing, Jackie had the opportunity to visit with many cherished friends and family members to reminisce and say her goodbyes. This bittersweet time was incredibly meaningful to her. Surrounded by love, stories, and laughter, she spent her final days enveloped in the warmth of those who mattered most.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to her medical team, especially her oncologist, Dr. Seal, for the exemplary care provided over the last seven years. Special appreciation goes to her card group, whose lively games and weekend trips kept her spirits high throughout her battle with illness. In the last few weeks, all her siblings gathered for the first time in decades, to share a Thanksgiving meal. This reunion meant so much to her and brought her such comfort and peace. The family is incredibly thankful for everyone who supported them during the last stages of her illness, whether by bringing meals, visiting in the hospital, or helping with care shifts. Your kindness and support provided a profound sense of comfort to her children and husband during this difficult time.

At Jackie’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Holy Cross RC Cemetery, Witless Bay with a Celebration of Life to follow at 162 South Side Track Road, Witless Bay.
