Resting at Ryan''s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd from 2-9pm. Mass of Christian burial to be held at St. Patrick''s RC Church, Witless Bay on Monday, November 23rd at 10am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross RC Cemetery, Witless Bay.
Passed peacefully away on Friday, November 20, 2015, John (Jack) Carey of Witless Bay aged 97. Predeceased by his parents John H. and Nora Carey and his brothers Tom and Ted. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his family who were privileged to have him in their lives; Janet Lundrigan (Larry), his care giver for more than 40 years; Alban Carey (Maria) and their son Alex; Jennifer Aspell (Mark) and their children Heidi and Zachary; Allan Carey and his daughter Faith; nieces Betty Wright (George) and Joyce Fairweather and their families in Scotland. Jack also leaves behind a large circle of friends and neighbors including family members of the late Lawrence and Caroline Carey.
