John Robert Lahey

LAHEY, John Robert. With hearts full of love ,sadness and beautiful memories, we announce the peaceful passing of John Robert Lahey of Cape Broyle on Wednesday March 7th, 2018 in his 102nd year. Leaving to mourn, his loving and devoted wife of 73 years Rita (Hayes). His children Michael (Bertha), Mona, Adrian (Debbie), Anita (Fabian), Margie (Paul) are left to share many fond and loving memories. Sure to be sadly missed by his grandchildren Duane, Lisa & Darrell Lahey, Adam and Nicholas Jackson, Courtney and Meaghan Hyde, Terri-Lynn, Stacey and Jonathan Rossiter, along with 16 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn is his brother Ronald, a larger number of nieces, nephews, including a very special niece, Eileen, as well as many other relatives and friends. A special thanks to the wonderful staff of 1 South and Dr. Larry Alteen at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for your very professional and personal care. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, on Saturday March 10th from 2-9 pm, and Sunday March 11th 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Monday March 12th at 11am from Immaculate Conception RC Church, Cape Broyle. Internment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape RC Cemetary, Cape Broyle. Flowers greatly accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
