It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Lake of Witless Bay, formerly from St. John's, in his 68th year. He passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Joe was predeceased by his parents; Joseph and Lillian Lake and brother Barry Lake.
Leaving to mourn are his children: Joseph, Phoenix, Joshua, Heidi, Colin, Holly and their families, brothers: Harry (Marg), Fred (Bev), Norm, Frank (Lisa), Herb and Darrell (Nika), sisters: Deb (Greg) Quilty, Dusty (John) Anstey and Lisa (John) Dicks, uncle Kevin (Dorothy) Cousins, a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, neighbours; Carl Dillon and Eileen Hyde, a special thank you to his brother and best friend, Norm, for always being there for him and Dr Annette McCarthy for years of care and professionalism.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation to be held at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Friday, October 25 from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Inurnment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road, Mount Pearl on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 am.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
