It is with profound sadness and shattered broken hearts, we announce that Kenneth Joseph Williams, in his 69th year, passed peacefully away at his home in Bay Bulls after a long fought, courageous battle with ALS while surrounded by his devoted loving family.
Predeceased by his loving parents, Henry and Joan Williams, his first wife Marion, sister Catherine Bidgood (Bill), brothers Alex, Randal, Edward, Gordon (Georgina), John (in infancy), niece Alexandra Williams and nephew John Joyce Jr. Special parents Aunt Jen and Mark Glynn. Parents in law Luke and Mary Joyce.
Leaving to mourn with everlasting loving memories, his wife Diane of 47 wonderful years. His children, Roxanne (Patrick Corbett), Kenny (Angie), Gary (Heather), Krista (Justin), special son/grandson Blair. His precious grandchildren who inspired Poppy’s 5 year battle with ALS, Isaac Corbett (Kaitlyn), Marissa and Maya Williams, Connor and Paityn Williams
Brothers, Harry (Bern), Fred (Rita), Ernest (Bernice), Wayne (Sheila). Sister, Joan (Edgar Dalley). Sister in Laws, Bertha, Bonnie, and Betty. Brothers and sisters in law in the Joyce family, Patsy (Mike Turner), John (Kay), Mikie (Debbie), Junior (Donna), Eddie (Linda), Dennis, Patrick (Eileen), Colleen (Barry Dunne) and Kevin. Also leaving to mourn many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Special friends especially Patricia Hearn, Gerard Sullivan, Dave Walsh, and Loyola Sullivan, along with an extremely large circle of hockey friends, ranging from his beloved Southern Shore Breakers and all across Canada.
During Kenneth’s 30 plus years as manager of the Ken Williams Southern Shore Arena and his extensive portfolio of volunteering at all levels of hockey country wide, Kenneth touched many lives. Kenneth was truly an inspiration to all that knew him, and this was further heightened by his courageous, hard fought battle with ALS.
A sincere Thank You to Dr. Rod McCarthy, Dr. Jamie Farrell, Dr. Alan Goodridge and Wanda Dollard and their staff. Also, special thanks to nurses Audrey Dalton and Nicole Sharpe, and many other professionals who helped our family through Dads journey.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 11, and Monday, July 12, 2021 from 2-9 pm at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10am at Sts. Peter and Paul RC Church, Bay Bulls.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Funeral Mass attendance will be by invite only. Livestreaming of the Funeral Mass will be available at the following link https://tom0349.wixsite.com/streamingservices/ryans with Inurnment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta RC Cemetery, Bay Bulls. Social distancing and masks required.
