Lawrence M. "Larry" Maloney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Larry Maloney, age 77 years of Witless Bay, on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

He was predeceased by his parents; Peter and Rita (nee Moakler), brothers; Verdie and Hilary Maloney, brothers-in-law: Paddy, Junior (Peggy), Frankie Crocker, Kevin Power, Dermot and nephew, Rodney O’Driscoll. 

Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Maudie and their sons: Michael (Krista) and children, Wyatt, Vanessa, Moxi and their mother Tracey; Peter (Wanda) and children Cameron and Selina; daughter, Wanda and children Nathan and Noah; great grandchild, Everly, sister, Claire and niece, Beverley. Sisters-in-law: Shirley (Doug), Jeannie, Mary; brothers-in-law: Tommy (Joan), Donnie, Harry (Linda), cousins: Anne Marie (Randy) Hearn and Cindy Williams. Many nieces, nephews and extended members of the Maloney, Moakler, Burke and Crocker families and friends. 

Larry was a quiet man who always enjoyed helping out family and friends. In his younger years, he enjoyed being in the woods, trouting and cutting wood. He loved to go out on the water fishing or go for a run on his four wheeler. He enjoyed the simple things, spending time at home with family, visits with his grandkids, having a cup of tea and loved a feed and his Pepsi. 

Cremation will take place.  A graveside service will take place at Holy Cross R.C. Cemetery, Witless Bay at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of one’s choice.
