NORRIS, Leonard (Aged 77) Passed peacefully away on May 30, 2021 in the presence of his loving family following a long illness. Predeceased by his mother, Pauline (Brien) Norris, his father Leonard Norris and his wife, Gertrude (Power) Norris. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his partner, Bernadette Carew, his daughters Lenore, Karla (Bryan) and Vicki (Justin), his step sons Cory (Angie), Curtis (Cortney), Chad (Jen), his adoring grandchildren Riley, Liam, Abby, and step-grandchildren Kaia and Zoey, Nathan and Paige, his sisters Mary (Bert), Marian (Dave), Roseanne (Wade), his brother Thomas (Rose), close friends Eric Maloney, Ed and Carmel Hodder, John Deagen and Irene Ploughman, and so many other friends and extended family.
Leonard was a hard-working man who was well respected and loved in his community. The water was in his blood and he would rather spend his days out there in his boat, than anywhere. He was the biggest Blue Jays fan. In the middle of any get together, you’d find him hidden away watching the game. His dry sense of humour and sarcasm could put a smile on any face. He’ll be sadly missed by all who loved him. We know for sure his good buddies Sammy Carter, Mickey Cahill, Ed Houlihan, and Joey Carey are waiting at the gates with some rum and a drop of beer.
Leonard’s family would like to extend their thanks to family and friends who visited and helped out over the last several months. Further thanks to the kind staff at St. Claire’s Hospital who made his last couple of weeks easier for him.
At Leonard’s request, there will be cremation only with no service. All other arrangements entrusted to Ryan’s Funeral Home. Celebration of life to be held at a later date when everyone can get together freely and truly celebrate.
