Loretta Tee Obituary
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Saint Luke’s Long-Term Care Facility on Dec 11th at the age of 79.
Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary Doyle; father and mother-in law Joseph and Bridget Tee; brothers in-law Jim Tobin and Michael Whitty; and sister in-law Betty Frizzell.
Leaving to mourn her beloved husband of 56 years John, her sons Karl (Colleen), Shawn (Rita), Jeff (Linda), and Elliott (Tonia) and grandchildren Mackenzie, Ainsley, Abigail, Quinton, Erica, Isaac, and Logan; as well as her twin sister Carmel Tobin, her sister in-laws Allison Melvin (Martin) and Marie Whitty and the many friends that were an important part of her life.
Loretta (mom) was an avid baker, an awesome cook, and a member of the Church choir. She had a gentle and kind soul and was always smiling. She loved dancing and listening to music. She will be sadly missed!
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to her homecare support workers, Tina and Bernice, who recently took care of her at home in Burnt Cove.
Finally, a heart-felt special thanks goes to the management and staff of Saint Luke’s Community Living who provided exceptional care during the final year of her life.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will take place at Ryan’s Funeral Home in Bay Bulls from 2-9pm on Tuesday Dec 14th.
Funeral mass will take place at St. Patrick’s RC Church in Witless Bay on Wednesday, Dec 15th at 10AM. Due to Covid restrictions, this will be by invitation only. The mass will be available online virtually at this weblink https://tom0349.wixsite.com/streamingservices/ryans
Inurnment to follow mass at St. Michael’s RC Cemetery, St. Michaels.
A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Bauline Community Center, Bauline (approximately 12-4pm on Wednesday). The family welcomes all family and friends to join us!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Burnt Cove, St. Michaels, Bauline Regional Recreation Association Inc. The mailing address for cheques is 244 Main Road, Burnt Cove A0A 4A0 or donations by e-transfer can be sent to [email protected]
