Loretta M. Tobin

Passed peacefully away on Sept 3rd. Surrounded by her loving family after a short illness, Loretta Tobin of Witless Bay age 93 years. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Mary Powers, Brother Tommy (Ethel), Husband Thomas (Tommy Kent), son Kenny, Baby girl Tobin, son in law Steve Stratton and Nanny Clare Kent. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of loving memories her children: Cynthia (Les Turner), Sharon (Pat Carew), Bren (Romona), Clare (Randy Armstrong), Jeannie (Vince Boland with whom she resided with in Fermeuse), Gerard (Linda), Loretta (Wade Simms) and Jimmy. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Blair Stratton (Janille, Juliet and Stephen) Brian Stratton (Mary Jane, Aliyah and Ysabella), Brady Turner (Hiliary), Blaine Turner, Kelly Carew (Emily), Krista Lynch (Mark and Carly), Keith Carew (Kim, Layne and Owen) Martin Tobin (Charlene, Lily and Zachary), Mark Tobin (Hiliary), Robin Armstrong (Rutanya), Tyler Armstrong (Jhanna and Elsie), Wendy Chidley (Michael), Valerie Savoury (Jason, Caleb and Logan), Corey Mulcahy (mom Dianne), Neice Maryellen Rende (Albert, New Jersey), Cousins Kay Smith and Genevieve Dunphy, long time friend Shirley Squires and homecare worker Glenda Oates who was so kind to mom. Also a large circle of new “up the shore” friends.

Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Wednesday, September 5th from 2-9 pm and Thursday September 6th from 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at 10am from St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Witless Bay. Interment to follow at Holy Cross R.C. Cemetery, Witless Bay.
