Madonna Mary Doyle (Nee) Carey)

It is with immense sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Madonna passed away at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family and special friends. Leaving to mourn is her husband of 49 years Patrick Doyle, her son David Doyle (Kim), daughters Wanda O’Driscoll (Brian), Denise Doyle, Evelyn Doyle (Russ), and cherished grandchildren Ashley, Taylor, Brooke and Dawson. Also leaving to mourn is her brother Aiden Carey (Sheila), sisters Sheila Williams (Wayne), Joan White (Gerard) and brother-in-laws Stephen Doyle (Bernice), Joseph Ennis, along with a large circle of family and friends, especially Harry and Millie Bulger, Edward and Dot Druken and devoted friend Mildred Renouf. Predeceased by her mother Esther Carey, father Aiden Carey, sisters Margaret Colbert (Gerald), Rose Tobin (Will), parents-in-law Charles and Mary Doyle and sister-in-law Mary Ennis. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, Thursday June 14th 3-9 pm and Friday June 15th 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place Saturday June 16th 10 am, St. Patrick’s RC Church, Witless Bay. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Madonna’s memory may be made to The Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. Madonna was a beautiful, caring, hard-working woman who was instrumental in the care of her grandchildren over the years. She knew a lot of people from her many years of owning her convenience store and serving on various local committees. She enjoyed the simple things in life especially trouting, berry picking, playing cards and spending time at their trailer on Cape Pond Road. She will be forever remembered and loved.
