Madonna Shannahan

It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Madonna Shannahan nee Hann, aged 57 years. Passed peacefully away Thursday October 20, 2022, at St.Clares Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by son Daniel, parents Austin and Madonna Hann, brothers Kevin and Adrian, mother and father in-law Bill and Colette Shannahan, brother-in-law Kevin Shannahan, as well as other members of the Shannahan and Hann family.

Leaving to mourn loving and devoted husband of 37 years Lawrence Shannahan, daughter Charmaine (John) son Mackey (Jenn), her grandchildren and pride and joy Cora, Daniel and Baby Grace. Brothers Austin (Susan), Edward, Gary (Annmarie), Sisters Janet (Shawn : deceased) Mary ann (Scott) Brenda. Sisters in law Linda (Rick) Colleen, Cherie lynn , Glenis (Pat), Eleanor (Tim), Brothers in law Lindsay, Billy (Linda), also her nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends.

She will be dearly missed by her long time friend and bingo partners Patricia Walsh (Cookie) and Roxanne O'Brien.

Donna was a gentle beautiful soul, who always extended her hand to whoever needed it, she will be missed and forever remembered by those who she touched.

A special extended thank you to the Drs and Nursing staff of HSC 4 south B, St.Clare's 7th floor and Quality Home Care.

Visitation to take place at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, from 5:00pm - 9:00pm on Saturday, October 22nd, and 2:00pm - 9:00pm on Sunday, October 23rd. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Calvert at 11:00am on Monday, October 24th. Interment to follow at Our Lady of The Cape RC Cemetery, Cape Broyle.
