Matilda (Tillie) Williams

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Matilda (Tillie) Williams, aged 84 years. Passed peacefully away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at St. Claire’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Predeceased by parents James and Annie Harrigan, her brothers Edward, Guss and Tom, her sisters Esther, Mame and Mildred. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her devoted husband of 65 years, Bernie, three daughters Lorraine, Marlene (Fraser) and Brenda (Richard), two sons Roger and Glen (Trudy), foster children Thelma, Helen and Ada, eight grandchildren Krista, Jillian, Blair, John, Rebecca, Rikki, Sydney and Keegan, her treasured great grandchildren August, Bridget, Aoife, Tiana, Easton and Bodhi, special friend Edward and her caregiver Tracy. Visitation will be held at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Monday, May 27th from 4-9pm and Tuesday, May 28th from 2-9pm with Mass of Christian Burial to take place at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Witless Bay on Wednesday, May 29th at 10am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross RC Cemetary, Witless Bay.
