Michael Hawkins Obituary
Passed peacefully away at his residence in Cape Broyle on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, Michael J. Hawkins, age 80 years.
He was predeceased by his parents; Hilda (nee Hayden) and William Hawkins, sisters: Betty Welcher, Lorraine, Catherine (Fabian) Kenny and Bernice (Valentine) O’Keefe, brother Harold (Mary).
Leaving to mourn his wife of 54 years, Helen (nee Martin), son Michael, his loyal fur baby, Hayley and special uncle, Harold Hayden, siblings: Theresa (Albert) Lawlor, Vince, Janet and Bonnie (Doug) Evely, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Also left to mourn are his sisters-in-law: Mary (Vince) Hayes, Maureen (Willie) Tobin and Sheila (Ken) Dodge, longtime friends: Kevin and Irene Duggan, George and Rita Chafe and Tom and Frances Kenny.
A special thank you to Dr. Melissa Angel and Dr. Tom McGarry for all the care and help provided. Thank you to all of our neighbors and friends for their many years of continuous support and kindness. It was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
At Michael’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private burial will follow at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Cape Broyle Cemetery Committee (email for e- transfer: [email protected]) or a charity of one’s choice.
