Nicholas Glynn Obituary

Nicholas Henry Glynn, known to all as Nick, was born in the Dominion of Newfoundland on May 29th 1944. He was the eldest of 10 children to, and predeceased by, Nicholas (Nix) and Mary (Minnie) Glynn nee Lundrigan. He leaves behind his siblings Tom (Cecilia), Francis, Trudy Coady (Albert), Gene, Joe (Greta), Glen. Predeceased by 2 infant sisters Anne Marie and Irene and his brother John (Anne Marie). Nick lived most of his 76 years in his hometown of Bay Bulls Newfoundland where he was a fisherman. He spent a few years fishing on the great lakes when he lived in Leamington Ontario with his then wife Betty Howlett. Nick is survived by his 3 sons Jeff (Tracey), Justin (Tammy) and Jason (Kimberlee). Along with his grandchildren Joshua, Abigail (Alex), Nicholas, Noah, Peyton, Simon, Jayden and his many nieces and nephews. Nick is predeceased by his daughter in law Melissa. He will be fondly remembered by his lifelong friend Tom Murphy and good friend Cathy Power. Through his life Nick became devoted to his weekly meetings with his friends of Bill W. Nick enjoyed public speaking, sharing stories and supporting those friends through their shared lives of sobriety. He found joy in baking and cooking, experimenting with various ingredients. Nick lived his life on his own terms. He was opinionated, a jokester who found humor in many awkward situations and could laugh at himself as well. He loved music, spending many a Friday evening listening to VOWR or playing his guitar and singing for anyone who would listen. Nick left us physically on February 8th 2021 suddenly, but will never leave us in memory.
