Patrick Coady Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we wish to share the peaceful passing of Patrick James Coady of Bay Bulls, NL on October 1, 2023, age 72 years at the HSC, surrounded by his loving family.
Leaving to mourn with everlasting memories his loving wife, Elizabeth (nee Barry) her children, Paul, Barry(Dana), Laura. His precious daughters, who were his world, Lisa(Jim), Wanda(Peter), Michelle(Todd). His most treasured grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Cody and Jared Smith, Maddox Munro, Lila Dwyer, Cameron and Selina Maloney, Audrey and Owen Smith.
Loving Sister Margie and Brother Francis Coady(Cindy) Brother-in-law Edwin(Dinah) Savoury, nephews Craig(Nadine), Trevor(Tara) Savoury. Also his furry friend Scooby. As well as extended family and large circle of friends.
Predeceased by first wife, Selina (nee Savoury), Mother Bertha Coady and uncle Michael Coady, granddaughter Baby girl Smith, stepdaughter Karyn Dwyer and stepson Brad Dwyer.
Pat was a dedicated and proud member of the Dean Patrick Cleary Council, Knights of Columbus for over 40 years, since 1982. He received his Fourth Degree. He loved his community and served as a member of the Bay Bulls Town Council between 2017-2021. Pat loved to go for drives to get his coffee at Tims when he was able or go for a run to Foodland on his scooter and stop and have a chat with many along the way. Most of all he loved visits from family, friends and spending time with his grand kids.
Special thanks to all the staff in the Eastern Health System who cared for and looked after Pat in his recent years in particular, the HSC ICU staff, ER staff and The third floor veterans pavilion where he resided since June 2023.
Visitation to be held at Ryan’s Funeral home in Bay Bulls on Tuesday, October 3rd from 6-9 PM and Wednesday, October 4th from 2-9 PM. Funeral service to take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Bay Bulls on Thursday, October 5th at 10am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bay Bulls.
