Regina Mulcahy of Bay Bulls passed peacefully away on January 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Regina was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Amelia Colbert; her brother, Peter; her parents-in-law, John and Mary (Coleman); her brothers-in-law, Peter, Loyola, and Terry; and her sister-in-law, Theresa.
Regina leaves behind her loving husband, John; her children, Rebecca (Mark) Tobin and Peter; and her cherished grandchildren, Kate, Maggie, and Rory. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Ellen (Dennis) Williams, Anne (Seb) Mazzotta, Rose (Vince) Carey, and Alicia Colbert (Rick Curran), as well as her special dog friend, Gert.
Also left to mourn are her brothers and sisters-in-law: Ken (Elizabeth), Shirley (Francis) Aspell, Rosemary (Baxter) Allingham, Annemarie (Keith Maloney), Helen (Eddie) Breen, Norma Mulcahy, Patricia Furlong, and Mel Allingham. Regina also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large circle of dear friends.
Regina lived a life filled with compassion, integrity, and joy. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, humour, and wisdom, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Known for her generosity, Regina was the person who always brought family and friends together.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Following her long career as a dedicated teacher, Regina embraced retirement by spending many happy days on the golf course, travelling abroad, and enjoying a good game of cards. She consistently placed the needs of others before her own, offering unconditional love and unwavering support to those around her. Her warm smile could brighten anyone’s day, and she leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of all she touched. Though Regina may no longer be with us, she will live in our hearts forever.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation in Regina’s honour will be held at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, on Wednesday, January 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Bay Bulls, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with inurnment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta RC Cemetery, Bay Bulls.
