Rosemary O'Driscoll Obituary

Leaving to mourn a large circle of family and friends including siblings: Barb (Leo Doyle), Gary (Anita), Albert (Theresa), Kenny, Pam (Keith Gowan), and Rod (Cheryl).

Nieces and Nephews, Glen (Florence), David (Michelle), Ronnie (Paula), Roy (Christine), John Matt (Wendy), Johnny (Rebecca), Corey (Jackie) Susan (Chris), Sherry (George), Mandy (Michael), Chris (Laura), Keith (Shannon), Dale (Nicole), Miranda (John), Cindy (Cory), Nicole (Chris), Jerramie (Ashley), Krissy (Dennis), and Matthew.

Also leaving to mourn, lifelong friends including Donna, Bev, Gertrude and Linda as well a large circle of loving neighbors and friends too numerous to mention. She also had a large number of great nephews and nieces who she loved dearly.

Rhodie loved children and had a hand in raising many of her nieces and nephews. She cared for her mother for many years. After her mother’s passing in 2004 she lived alone with her beloved canine companion, Molly. Everyone in the community knew Rhodie and reciprocated her kindness. Her love for journaling reflect her intense love for her family and friends and the joy she felt from every phone call and visit. Her faith was very important to her and provided her with great comfort in difficult times. Every day, Rhodie would spend hours calling her friends and many family members to check-in. She never took for granted any small acts of kindness that anyone showed to her. Her home reflected her love of family through the hundreds of photos displayed on her walls of baby pictures, graduations, weddings and celebrations of every family member.

Although Rhodie took up very little physical space in this world, her passing leaves an incredible void in the hearts of those who shared her life. She will be remembered for her legacy of unconditional love and kindness.

Funeral service will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul RC Church, Bay Bulls, on Saturday, January 22nd at 10am. Due to the current Covid restrictions, attendance will be by invite only. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta RC Cemetery, Bay Bulls.

In lieu of flowers, family are graciously accepting donations to Happy Valley Goose Bay or St. John’s SPCA .
