Scott Dunn Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Scott Francis Dunn at his residence in Witless Bay on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021. Scott had just celebrated his 50th birthday on September 8th.
Left with broken hearts, fond memories & unconditional love are his mother Irene, his brothers Ernie (Michelle), Gerard (Helen) & Mikey, his sisters Evelyn, Linda (Ken), Patricia (Brian), Beverly, Martina (Chris) & Lisa (Jerome). Also leaving to mourn his loss are his special nephew/Godson Kendall Power, special nephew Stephen Dunn & numerous nieces & nephews. Scott was a long-time employee of Harbour Construction (and Scott often called it the “Hurry, Hurry Company”). His current & former coworkers have many memories of him, especially some of the grumpy and often funny stuff that came out of his mouth. Although Scott was feeling unwell for 2 days prior to his death, he continued to work. He has left a void in the company and as Scott sometimes said, “it will take to 2 men to replace him”.
Welcoming Scott into heaven are his father Michael (1991) & his sister Michelle (2008).
Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday, September 18th from 2 – 9 pm & Sunday, September 19th from 9 am – 12 pm. No flowers by request.
Funeral service to take place on Sunday, September 19th at 12:30 pm at St. Patrick’s RC Church, Witless Bay. Due to Covid restrictions, attendance at church is by invite only. Interment to follow at Holy Cross RC Cemetery, Witless Bay. Everyone is welcome to attend the cemetery service & celebration of life following the burial.
Celebration of life will be held at the Puffin Centre, Witless Bay.
