It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sean Lawrence Coady on January 24, 2025. Though his time with us was far too short, the cherished memories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his beloved son, Andrew and members of the Coady and Carey families. Sean will be deeply missed by his son, Tristan (his mother Erica), parents: Anne and Ted Coady, brothers: Wesley (Tracy) and Brent (Emily), sister: Deanne (Mitchell) and loving partner: Rosalie Walsh. He will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Taylor (Michael), Carter (Gracie), Jane (Landon), Caroline and Ben, as well as their father, Mitchell. Aunts and uncles: Mary (Wilf), Isabelle, Thomas, Aloysius (Carolyn), Lawrence (Doreen), Harry (Donna), Raymond, Maria, Elizabeth, Theresa (Ted) Mary (Tommy) and Linda.
Sean was a devoted father whose love for his boys was boundless and unconditional. His children were his entire world, finding his greatest joy and pride in being their father. He showed his commitment to his family through his hard work as a mobile crane operator and as a fisherman, balancing his professional responsibilities with his deep devotion to those he held dear.
Sean had many close friends, whom he held close to his heart like family. Their unwavering support, shared laughter, and countless memories brought him immense joy and comfort. His friends will always remember him for his infectious sense of humour and loyal and generous spirit.
Sean’s career took him from Western Canada to the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, and along the way, he touched countless lives. His contagious smile, welcoming nature, and fun-loving personality made a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Sean’s legacy will live on through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he created. He will be forever missed and fondly remembered for his unconditional love for his son, Tristan, his mom and dad and all of his family and friends.
