It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sharon (Saunders) Kearns, who passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 63 years of age.
Sharon is predeceased by her dearest sister and friend Sheila Dixon, Mother Madge (Rose) Edwards from Hermitage, Stepfather Harvey Edwards from Halifax, Father Paul Saunders from Boston and husband David Kearns.
Leaving to mourn is her daughter, Lindsay Kearns (Jamie), two grandchildren; Lilymae and Ben, her husband Dennis Hayden and her dog Benny who brought her so much comfort and joy.
Also leaving to mourn are her brother; John (Doris) Saunders, brother-in-law; Brian Dixon, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all were her family, the people she loved most in life
She always loved her friends both humans and animals, known for her infectious laughter and lively conversation, she brought joy to every gathering. But Sharon's favorite thing was to spend time with her grandchildren; they were her greatest joy.
Sharon spent most of her life in Halifax where she was an assistant manager of an IGA and had several of her own small businesses. She loved spending time with friends and was often the center of many good times.
Sharon spent the latter part of her life in Horse chops on the Southern Shore, Newfoundland with Dennis where she enjoyed a quiet retirement. She will also be mourned by Dennis' Mother Florrie (Dermie), sister Libby (Keith), brother Josie (Natasha) and their families and close friends Rosie and Fred Meaney who will miss their regular Sunday afternoon card games.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Revelation 21:4
