Stephen Casey Obituary
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, father in-law, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Steve Casey of Bauline East (originally of Conche) passed away peacefully on October 16, 2021 at the age of 88 years.
Predeceased by his parents Peter and Adell Casey, brothers Tom, Jim (Evangeline), infant brothers Peter & John, daughter-in-law Rowena Casey, sister-in-law Rose Mason, brother-in-law Joe McCarthy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted wife of 53 years Loretta. Sons Brian and Stephen, daughters Wanda (Jerry) and Susan (James), his loving grandchildren Justyn (Julie), Zachary, Shaelyn (Muhamed), Marissa (Dillon), and Finley. Also leaving to mourn his sisters Mary (Ed), and Ann (Ed), sisters-in-law Rose, Mary, Jacinta (Lawrence), brothers-in-law Gerard (Juanita), Clarey and his many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, friends, and brothers of Ironworkers Local 764.
Steve’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of 7 East at St. Clare’s for their exceptional care.
Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation is on Wednesday, October 20th from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Thursday, October 21st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s RC Church, Witless Bay. Due to Covid restrictions, attendance at church is by invite only. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, St. Michael’s. Flowers graciously accepted.
