Stephen Reid Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Stephen Kenneth Reid, age 47, at his home in Bay Bulls, Newfoundland on November 2nd, 2021.
Left with heavy hearts and fond memories are his parents, Graham and Ruth (nee Spencer) Reid; loving partner Kelly Swain; cherished daughters Alyssa and Emma and their mother Donna; brother Douglas Reid (Marlise); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his extended Newfoundland family.
Predeceased by members of the Reid and Spencer families.
Stephen worked across Canada as an underground miner for more than 25 years. During this time, he met and made many friends. He be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Special thanks to neighbours and first responders for their determined and compassionate care.
Visitation will take place at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Friday, November 5th from 2 - 9 pm. Service to be held on Saturday, November 6th at 10 am at St. Patrick’s RC Church in Witless Bay.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the funeral mass attendance will be by invite only.
Cremation to follow and burial service to be held at a later date with family in Nova Scotia.
