Tanya Mary (née Shannahan) Walsh

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Tanya Shannahan-Walsh. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family. 

She was predeceased by her parents; Josephine and John Shannahan, brothers, Howie, Larry and Doug, as well as other members of the Shannahan and Walsh family.

Tanya is lovingly remembered by her; husband Gary, son Johnathon (Jessica) and daughter, Ashley (Calvin), five grandchildren: Tyson, 17, John Jr, 10, Hudson, 9, Hayden, 6 and Harper, 1, brother Rick (Maureen), sister Laurie, many nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Tanya was the heart of her family — a source of endless love, laughter and strength. Her kindness, warmth, and fun-loving spirit helped shape all of us, and her memory will live on forever in our hearts. She was a proud grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren, each of whom she loved deeply and brought her endless joy.

Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, visitation will take place on Sunday, October 26, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church in Cape Broyle on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape Cemetery, Cape Broyle.
