Theresa Hawkins Obituary
Theresa M. Hawkins (Harvey) of Admiral’s Cove, passed peacefully away, in the presence of her family, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Predeceased by her husband, Ambrose, her parents, John and Catherine Harvey, her infant brother Vincent, her daughter-in-law Madonna Hawkins and two grandsons: Lawrence and Keith Hawkins.
Leaving to mourn with a life time of wonderful memories her 5 children; sons Vincent, Aloysius (Anne), Pius (Tryphenia); daughters Doris Whale (Harry), Margery White (Kenneth); 10 grandchildren; Laureen Harnum (Robert), Valerie Nixon (Brad), Theresa Hawkins, Michael Whale (Wanju), Catherine Powell (Rob), Edward Hawkins (Amanda), Andrew Hawkins (Melissa), Tony White (Lisa), Evan White and Dylan White; 11 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Special thanks to: Bernadette Aspell, her home care worker, who enabled her to stay in Admiral's Cove longer; Quality Home Care, and the Management, Staff and Residents of Woodford's Comfort Manor in Holyrood for the care, compassion and friendship shown to her for the last 6 years. She often said "if you can't be in your own home, this is the next best place". Special thanks to Fr. Philip Melvin. Also a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of St. Clare's - 7 East for the care, compassion and respect shown to her and her family during her final days.
Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, Tuesday, November 15th from 2 – 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Wednesday, November 16th, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Cape Broyle. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape RC Cemetery, Cape Broyle.
