Thomas Keating Obituary

Passed peacefully away at Health Science Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Edith (O’Toole) Keating, infant sister – Olive, brother – Desmond, brothers-in-law Paul Carey, Michael Butler, Norman Page, sisters-in law – Bernice Keating and Donna Keating.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories: brothers – Alex (Margie) and Robert (Juanita), sisters – Doris, Barbara (Ken), Judy (Perry), Marian (Ken), Sharon (Noel), sister-in-law Maureen Keating. Also left with many cherished memories are Boyd and Trixie Taylor and family, Jillian Whittle (Chris) and family, as well as his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. Many thanks to his social worker and all of his caregivers for their care and kindness to Tom.

Tom was a special gift to our family and our lives were enriched in many ways because of him . It is obvious from the many tributes that have been sent over the past few days that Tommy touched many Lives. He greeted everyone with a hug and a smile. Tom lived in a number of communities in NL; however, he always considered Wabush his home. He participated in Special Olympics and proudly displayed his medals. He enjoyed swimming, bowling, and riding his bike as long as he was able.
