Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation on Friday, March 6 from 4-9 pm and Saturday, March 7 from 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Witless Bay on Sunday March 8 at 2pm. Interment at Holy Cross R.C. Cemetery, Witless Bay. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in her memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation. May she rest in peace.
Passed peacefully away on Thursday, March 5, 2015, after a short illness, Valerie Anne Mullowney, aged 54 years, retired French Immersion Teacher (St. Teresa's, Ecole St Gerard). Predeceased by her mother Loretta Mullowney, 1983, her nephew David Emberley, 2003, and her brother-in-law Kevin Emberley, 2013. Left to mourn with broken hearts, her Dad and step mother, Greg and Regina Mullowney, Empire Village, St. John's, her siblings Lynn Emberley, Sandra and Sylvester Cahill, Audrey and John O'Rielly, Jim and Cheryl (Bartlett) Mullowney, Sean and Lisa Mullowney, all of Witless Bay, her nieces and nephews Laura and Chris Doyle, Claire and Ronnie Guest, Gary Cahill (Kayla), Kristen and Peter Kavanagh, Jessica Cahill (Sean), Sarah Emberley, Jane and Erin O'Rielly, Dana, Meagan and Abby, Neela and Greg Mullowney, great nephew and nieces Cohen and Rha Doyle and Chloe Guest, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends, especially her former colleagues and the hundreds of students who were taught and loved by Mlle Mullowney. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of St. Clare's ICU and 4 West for their wonderful care of Valerie.
