Verdun (Verdie) Maloney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our brother, uncle, and friend Verdun (Verdie) Maloney, age 81 years of Witless Bay, on June 16, 2022, at his residence in Witless Bay.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Rita, his nephew Rodney O’Driscoll, and special friend Elizabeth Crocker.

Leaving to mourn Mary and Donnie Crocker who he resided with. His brothers Larry (Maudie), Hilary, and sister Claire (Derm).

Also leaving to mourn with cherished memories his nephews Michael and children Wyatt, Vanessa, Leon, and their mother Tracey; Peter (Wanda) and children Cameron and Selina; niece Wanda and children Nathan and Noah; and niece Beverley. Also extended family, Crocker family, and friends. He will also be dearly missed by her furry friends Benny and Puddings.

The family would like to thank the Witless Bay Fire Department, Eastern Health Paramedics.

Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross R.C Cemetery, Witless Bay on Saturday July 2, 2022, at 4:30pm.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
