Vince White Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Vince White announce his passing at Chancellor Park, St. John’s on Friday, February 14th, 2025 at 91 years of age.

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Theresa, infant baby, great granddaughter Alexandra, mother and father; Mary Ellen and William, sister Helen, brother Bren and mother and father-in-law; Liz and Ernest Ronayne.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughter Elizabeth Anne, son Boyd (Denise), grandchildren; Adam (Erika) and Scott (Erica), great grandchildren: Nikolas, London and Liam. Vince is also survived by his siblings: Steve, Willie, Charlie, Fred, Ann, Gladys, Mary, Violet, Bride, Lorraine and their spouses. As well as his best fur child J. Jay, many nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Vince was a longtime employee of Newfoundland Power. He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, out at his wood and puttering around. He was born in Biscay Bay and spent his early years there. At the age of 20 he came down the shore and met Theresa Ronayne. They were married in 1954, making Tors Cove their home and had 60 great years together.

Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with cremation to follow. Funeral Service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel, Tors Cove on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 2:00 pm with inurnment to follow at the cemetery.

No flowers by request. If friends so desire, donations in Vince’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
