Vincent Hayes Obituary

Passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Vincent Joseph Hayes, age 77 years.

He was predeceased by his parents; Bridget and Martin Hayes, brothers; Ron and Gerry Hayes, sister-in-law, Terri Hayes and brother-in-law, John Ennis.

Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts and cherished memories, his loving and caring wife of 53 years, Mary. His children; Joanne (Jason) and Darren (Chantalle), grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Jenna (Mason), Joey and Jack, brothers and sisters: Gene (Patricia), Billy (Gen), Joan Hayes (George) and Ceilie Ennis, in-laws: Glenda Hayes, Maureen (Willie) Tobin, Sheila (Ken) Dodge and Helen Hawkins, nieces and nephews: Cara, Bonnie, Warren, Lorna, Jamie, Gina, Maureen, Karen, Teresa, Mickey, Sean, Paul, Bryan and Lisa, lifelong buddy, Terry O’Brien as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

A sincere thank you to paramedics, the nurses and staff of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, especially Dr. Sahar Iqbal. Also, a heartfelt thank you to our family, friends, neighbours and coworkers for their continuous support throughout the past year.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Vince’s life will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
