Wayne Winter Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Wayne Winter, aged 58, in Largo, Florida, on August 19th 2021.
Left heartbroken with many cherished memories, is his pride and joy and only child, daughter Jennifer (Winter) Aylward. His buddy and son in law Gordon Aylward, and the lights of his life, his grandchildren Layla, Reese, and Sullivan Aylward. Wayne loved his family fiercely, and left them with enough funny, crazy, and loving memories to last a lifetime.
Predeceased by the love of his life, Patricia (Dalton) Winter. May he now rest peacefully with her. He is also predeceased by his father Walter Winter, brothers Aaron Winter and Dwight Winter, sister Brenda Bennett , parents in law Ronald and Genevieve Dalton, and brother-in-law Kerry St. Croix.
Wayne also leaves behind his mother Ida (Bungay) Winter, siblings Eva Penton (Pierce), Margaret Bursey (Don), Roland Winter (Carmalita), Bill Winter (Ita), Louise Winter, and Marilyn Haggett (Murlen). Also left to mourn are the Dalton family: siblings Anne Marie, Mary, Frank, Nora, Richie, Fred, Gerald, Alice, Barbara and Cecil. Along with a large circle of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins, including special cousin and best friend Rodney Winter.
Wayne was known to be a character, always living his life to the fullest. His generous spirit touched many lives. He was a great friend to many, and had many special lifelong friends that became his family. Including but not exclusive to Wayne White, Poppy (George) Drover, Jake Jones, Lorne Benson, Henry Hutchings, and Gary Mann.
A memorial is planned at Ryans Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, on Tuesday August 24th from 12-6 PM. Refreshments at the cabin on the farm to follow, as per Wayne’s wishes.
